Courseware and Learning Approach
The Interior Design Program offers a comprehensive curriculum that integrates theoretical foundations with practical and creative approaches to address functional and aesthetic design challenges in various human environments. The program focuses on developing competencies in architectural drafting, illustration, and presentation skills, including perspective drawings and presentation boards. Students gain design proficiency and a working knowledge of materials, resources, and business procedures relevant to the interior design profession. As an interior designer, one combines knowledge and aesthetic vision to collaborate with clients and other design professionals in creating safe, functional, and visually appealing design solutions that cater to the needs of the occupants.
Graduates of the program have ample employment opportunities, with architectural firms, interior designers, builders, promoters, furniture manufacturers, and large corporate houses being potential employers. Additionally, graduates can work as freelance designers or establish their own consultancy. The program also equips students with problem-solving skills for realistic interior space-related issues and fosters an understanding of the interplay between architecture, interiors, and project management, including construction and technical considerations.
