  • A proud winner of the Asian Top Fashion Organization of the Year 2016 at the Fashion Asia Awards 2016 held in China.
  • Winner of the Nepal Best Brand Leadership Award 2018.
  • IEC (Kathmandu) branch has received the International Gold Award 2003 (USA) for Quality Education and TQM.
  • We were joint organizers of the LUX Beauty Star 2004, along with Nepal Lever Ltd. All the dresses worn by contestants on the day of the grand finale were designed by students of IEC.
  • We organized Sunsilk Nepal Fashion Week 2004 for the first time in Nepal, from September 24th, 2004, to September 30th, 2004, at Hotel Yak & Yeti.
  • IECians have designed the dresses for films such as Khandan, Yo Maya Ko Sagar, Jindagani, Hero, Pinjara, Upkar, Nau Danda Pari, Solah Baras Jawan, Dhuk Dhuki, Love You Nepal, Ganga, Ladai, Vir Ganeshman, Uphar, Lahana, Ajambari Maya, Triveni, Bhai Tika, Mero Maya 100 Timro Maya 99, and many more.

IECians have designed dresses for more than 149 fashion shows in the last 27 years. Some of the latest major shows are:

  • Little Lady Pageant 2003 (Kathmandu Jaycees) at Pragya Bhawan, Kathmandu.
  • LUX Beauty Star 2004 on May 22nd, 2004 at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu.
  • SUNSILK Hair N’ Style Show by Javed Habib on June 5th, 2004 at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu.
  • Kinetic IEC Designer Contest 2004 (150 Designers from IEC Participated) on August 25th, 2004 at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu.
  • Sunsilk Fashion Week 2004 from September 24th to 30th, 2004 at Hotel Yak & Yeti, Kathmandu.
  • Bajaj Wave IEC Designer Contest 2005 (157 designers from IEC participated) on August 25th,2005 at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu.

  • IEC Designer Contest 2007 (175 designers from IEC participated) on December 27th, 2007 at Hotel Radisson, Kathmandu.
  • Sapthaik IEC Designer Contest 2009 (183 designers from IEC participated) on January 30th, 2009 at Hotel Yak & Yeti, Kathmandu. (Sponsored by Nepal’s biggest media house, Kantipur Publications.)
  • TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2009 was held from September 7th to 11th, 2009 at Hotel Yak & Yeti. Sponsored by APCA Nepal Pvt. Ltd, a subsidiary of APCA India, which publishes The Himalayan Times (Nepal’s No. 1 English daily newspaper) in Nepal.
  • Republica IEC Designer Contest 2010 at Hotel Soaltee Crown Plaza, Kathmandu, on March 13th, 2010. (Sponsored by Republica, one of the leading English dailies and one of the biggest media houses in Nepal.)
  • TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2010 was held from September 13th to 16th, 2010 at Hotel Soaltee Crown Plaza, Kathmandu.
  • TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2011 was held from September 21st to 24th, 2011 at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu, Nepal.
  • TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2013 was held from March 27th to 30th, 2013 at Hotel Soaltee Crown Plaza, Kathmandu, Nepal.
  • TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2014 was held from April 23rd to 26th, 2014 at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu, Nepal.
  • TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2016 was held from April 23rd to 26th, 2016 at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu, Nepal.

  • All the recent shows have been covered by leading national newspapers (Kantipur, Kathmandu Post, The Himalayan Times, Annapurna Post, Gorkhapatra, Nepal Samacharpatra, Rajdhani, Saptahik), national magazines (Nepal, Himal, Nari, Wave, Mystic), and national TV channels (NTV, Channel Nepal, Image Channel, Kantipur TV, NTV Metro, Nepal 1 TV, Avenues TV, ABC TV, Sagarmatha TV). All TV channels are satellite channels and are viewed in over 70 countries.
  • Sunsilk Nepal Fashion Week 2006 was also covered by ZOOM TV, as well as six European and Chinese TV channels.
  • IEC has the highest press coverage by print media among any institution in Nepal.

1st 3D Render Competition 2019

  • The 3D Render Competition was the first-ever render competition held in Nepal. Students from all interior colleges in Nepal participated, with IEC students successfully winning both titles: Public Choice Award – Ms. Pasang Lhamu Sherpa, and Judges’ Choice Award – Ms. Nisha Tuladhar.

IDC 2015 COMPETITION

  • The 2nd Interior Design Competition 2015 was organized by Spaces and the Nepal Furniture and Furnishing Association (NFFA). The first position went to Ms. Lasata Shrestha, a 2014 batch student from IEC College of Art & Fashion.

  • Our students, Ms. Nisha Tuladhar and Ms. Pasang Lhamu Sherpa from the 2015 batch, secured 1st position in the “Best out of Waste” section organized by Ace Institute of Management at “Expressions 2016” on December 8th, 2016. They also bagged 1st Runner-up position in “Hamro Utsav,” organized by Kings College on March 1st.

Interior Design Competition 2014, organized by NFFA (Dillibazar) and Spaces magazine, during the event Furnex Nepal 2014.

IEC bagged all the awards in the Interior Design Competition (IDC) 2014.

  • Interio Schema VI – Venue: Radisson Hotel; Date: March 31st and April 1st, 2017; Batch 2015.
  • Interio Schema VIII – Venue: The Royal Empire Boutique Hotel; Date: March 22nd and 23rd, 2019; Batch 2016.
  • Interio Schema IX – Venue: Marriott Hotel; Date: March 13th and 14th, 2020; Batch 2017.
  • Interio Schema X – Venue: Yalamaya Kendra; Date: March 5th, 2022; Batch 2018.
  • Interio Schema XI – Venue: Radisson Hotel; Date: September 24th and 25th, 2022; Batch 2019.

Our students are involved in different companies as designers, with a 100% internship record. Some of the major companies they are enrolled with include Panchakanya Group, Berger, Bira Furniture, SHAAN Furniture, Quality Kitchen, Ultra Interiors, and many more.
